Our new laser cutter arrived on Tuesday, May the 2nd, and I felt like a kid on Christmas morning. It was like opening up a new toy for the first time, and I wasted no time getting it unpacked and set-up.
Set-up was fairly simple, and I had already become familiar with the Lightburn software, so I was literally making jewelry within a few hours of receiving our laser. At first, we played around with simple designs. Our very first pair was a simple diamond design with a cutout center.
As we became more familiar with the laser and software, we started coming up with more complicated and customized designs.
We also started doing hand painted designs.
We made some necklaces.
Then we found out we could laser engrave leather, and started creating laser engraved leather hair clips.
Earrings, pendants, necklaces, and hairclips have taken over our beautiful home! It's like the attack of the killer tomato, it just keeps growing, crowding us out of our own home, we have to do something before it's to late!
Time to set-up a booth and see if this stuff will really sell, or find out that we've wasted a lot of time and money, and made a terrible mistake.
